Cerro Chato Hike. We begin by transferring you from La Fortuna, near Arenal Volcano, to the hotel, Arenal Observatory Lodge." There we start the hike toward the summit of Chato Hill through a very dense primary forest. Once there we visit the lagoon on the summit where you may swim, take photos or explore the area.

Horseback Riding to la Fortuna Waterfall. The length of the tour is approximately four hours; from La Fortuna we have to go 5 ½ kilometers to the southeast.  It takes about 1 1/2 hours to reach the point where we leave the horses and go on foot. At the base of the waterfall there is a “natural pool” where we can swim in the fresh water of La Fortuna river for about one hour.

Arenal Volcano Hike & Hot Springs. The Arenal Volcano is active since 1968, it constantly ejects gases, water, fumaroles and explosions with pyroclastic material emissions, and sometimes the eruptions are accompanied with powerful thunders. The lava flows come out of the crater with a temperature up to 1 000 Centigrade.  As the lava flows down it slowly cools off.A short hike in one of the trails close to the volcano area will give us the chance to enjoy some forest and the activity around it.

Horseback to Monteverde. Travel the old-fashioned way... We take a very scenic & safe trail along Lake Arenal – get glimpses of the famous and active Arenal Volcano and ride beside lush and beautiful rainforest while trying to spot toucans, sloths, & other tropical creatures. Our horseback ride is recommended for horse lovers and adventurers of all levels, Monteczuma Oropendolas, monkeys, the elusive "paca" and other tropical animal can be seen during the tour.
